Nikia is a Panamanian-American Producer/Composer, Remixer and DJ born and raised in San Diego, CA. He began his musical journey in 2009 at the age of 17.
Given a copy of Reason 2.0 from a close father figure, he quickly fell in love with the creative process and began sharpening his skills. Inspired by nightlife in the San Diego underground rave scene, he began the process of becoming a DJ and soon formed relationships in the scene as not only a raver, but an up and coming-headlining DJ.
Since then through music Nikia has set his sights on paying homage to his genetic roots in Native parts of Africa, Panama, El Salvador and the US. Today, he combines indigenous rhythms close to home, with the technological and modern sounds of today creating music to bring about a message of self expression, and respect for the arts.
His 2nd official Afro House release in 2018 'People In Me', broke into the Traxsource Afro House Top 100 reaching the #52 spot, solidifying his position in the scene. Be on the lookout for his upcoming releases including collaborations with producers from all over the world.
